Jacob, his wife Trish, and their three kids moved to Ohio in 2015 and joined Silver Grove soon after.  Jacob is bi-vocational and has had a career as an engineer for 20 years.  His family loves the area and is very involved in their school and community. 

Jacob went through ordination in 2009 and has continuously served as a deacon since, both at his previous church and Silver Grove.  In early 2022, after 13 years of faithful service and preaching through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation verse by verse, it came time for former Pastor Steve Tufts to retire from Silver Grove.  Jacob served as the chairman of the Search Committee during this transition period, after which he was asked to serve as Interim Pastor.  Members of Silver Grove helped Jacob clarify the Lord’s calling, and he became Pastor in late 2022.  His role as Pastor was not something he planned, but he stepped out in faith and obedience and has found complete joy in what the Spirit has led him to do.

Jacob enjoys reading and studying the Bible, coaching his kids in sports, and athletics and outdoor recreation.  He and his wife Trish have hiked the Appalachian Trail and climbed to the highest point in 46 states!
